Launch Delayed

On the 20th of October several of AveoAustralia's senior management team departed for the Slovak Republic to meet with Aveo Engineering senior managment and to review progress with the introduction to the world of the Aveo product line.

As a result of our visit to Aveo Engineering it has become necessary to once more delay our launch. There are good reasons behind this delay however as we will be building Aveo aeroplanes in Australia! Previously we had been planning to import completed aircraft but the parlous state of the Australian dollar had taken the price of completed Phantoms to above $200,000 and we have decided that building the aeroplanes here in Australia makes a lot more sense and the price of each Phantom Sport will now come back to the price level we had been anticipating before the $A fell.

We won't be advertising the new launch date until we have at least 2 Phantom Sports aircraft in Australia and flying. Once we have achieved this we will be able to offer purchasers absolutely minimum times from order to delivery and aircraft will be painted to customer requirements once they have placed their orders.

The Phantom will begin to be built in Australia at Polo Flat during 2009. As soon as we have the first two aeroplanes flying we will advertise the launch.

We do regret the necessity of delaying the launch yet again but we believe that the best interests of our customers will be served by the delay. And we state categorically that this will be the last delay.

Before taking delivery of their aircraft purchasers will be required to complete 5 hours of ground school and 5 hours of flying with one of our instructors (included in the price of the aeroplane) before they can fly away. This requirement is being imposed because the Phantom Sport is a very different kind of aeroplane and experience in other types won't prepare you for the magic of the DigitalFlightDeck.
